Steam Data
Below is
a chart I created with information about each of the steam locomotives the
FP&E owned during its existence. The
sources for the data are coded in the brackets, and the key to the source codes
follows the chart.

Notes and Observations
I have
only a few pictures of the FP&E's steam locomotives, and they can be seen
in the "Other FP&E Photos" set on my flickr account (click here to go
to that set).
I don't
have direct evidence (yet) that former NKP 202 became FP&E 3; it is a
deduction I've made based on two facts: 1) that NKP 202 was being leased by the
FP&E as of June 30, 1917 (the date of the FP&E's Valuation Report), and
2) that by the end of that year a used locomotive was purchased.
Originally
I had very little information about the FP&E's 9th and 10th steam
locomotives, but thanks to the research of Robert Brendel I've been able to
fill in the gaps. Apparently these two
locomotives were bought second-hand from scrap dealer Briggs & Turivas for
the sole purpose of helping the FP&E handle increased traffic during World
War II—and when their job was done, they were promptly disposed of.
